Our aim

Chrisalys Surgery uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as the technical target for pages we control. That is an engineering target, not a certificate of full conformance. A complete WCAG evaluation has not been finished.

Work completed in this review covers skip links and the mobile menu, keyboard access for dialogs, consultation and contact forms, landmarks and text alternatives, and visual contrast and reflow on shared templates. We do not use a third-party accessibility overlay.

Conformance target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Last reviewed: 24 September 2026. Conformance status: Partial. We do not claim that this website fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA, ADA, or any other legal standard.

Known limitations (this review):

  • The contact-page map is a Google Maps iframe. Keyboard and screen-reader behavior inside the iframe is Google's. The street address, phone number, and a same-page link to open the location in Google Maps are provided next to the embed. A phone number alone is not treated as WCAG conformance.
  • Shop cart and checkout pages are published as closed placeholders. No payment, cart, or account widget is connected. Those flows must be audited when they go live.
  • This review found no prerecorded video, audio-only media, or downloadable patient-journey documents on the pages we control. If those are added later, captions, transcripts, audio description, and document accessibility are required before they are published. This statement does not invent those alternatives.
  • Links to insurer sites and other third-party websites are outside our control.
  • Screen-reader testing with NVDA, VoiceOver, or TalkBack was not completed in this review.

Clinic phone and in-person help remain available: (310) 247-4729, or 436 N Bedford Drive, Suite 202, Beverly Hills. Those alternatives do not replace accessible design on the website.

What we build for

Skip links and focus. You should be able to skip to main content, move through the consultation form with the keyboard alone, and see where the keyboard is. There should be no keyboard traps.

One H1, then H2, then H3, no skipped heading levels on content pages we control, including long procedure pages.

Forms. Every consultation field has a persistent visible label (never placeholder-only text). Labels are programmatically associated. Errors should be announced in a way a screen reader can use. If you find one that is not, tell us.

Images. Every procedure and before-after image has descriptive alt text. Decorative images use empty alt. Decorative brand marks (including any rainbow SIMPLYTRANS tag) never carry meaning on their own.

Contrast. Normal text meets 4.5:1; large text meets 3:1. Dusty rose is not used as small text on white or ivory. Interactive text and buttons should meet 4.5:1. If a control fails, we want to know.

Clinic access

Digital accessibility is not the same as getting in the door. If you use a wheelchair, a service animal, or need a quiet arrival, tell us when you book. We will describe parking, elevators, and exam-room constraints honestly rather than promise a building we do not occupy.

Interpreters (including ASL) are requested through Language access. Do not assume a bilingual staff member is a qualified interpreter for a surgical consult.

How to report a barrier

Email or call and name the page URL, the device and browser, and what you were trying to do. We take those reports. We cannot always fix a vendor overlay overnight.
