Electrolysis, including surgical clearance
The method that may be called permanent hair removal. Required for most genital reconstruction maps.
One follicle at a time
Electrolysis is the only method we describe as permanent hair removal. A probe treats the follicle. Galvanic, thermolysis, and blend are tools, not marketing tiers. Which method fits a given follicle is decided on the skin, not sold as a named package.
Gray, blonde, red, and fine hair that laser cannot see are electrolysis cases. So is the last pass after laser has done what it can. The map for vaginoplasty clearance is smaller than a cosmetic bikini and more exacting.
Insurance may cover medically necessary pre-operative electrolysis. See coverage. Cosmetic facial packages are quoted separately.
What this involves
Galvanic, thermolysis, and blend
Chosen for the follicle and the skin, not as a package name.
Light and gray hair
When there is no pigment for a laser to find, this is the method.
Clearance, not a spa series
We treat the skin that will be used in surgery until it is actually clear.
