Donor-site clearance for phalloplasty

A phalloplasty flap that still grows hair inside a urethra or shaft is a complication, not a cosmetic leftover. We map the planned forearm or thigh donor site with the surgical team and clear it, usually with electrolysis after any useful laser reduction.
